Billie Eilish swept the competition winning four of the most notable prizes at the Grammy Awards... best new artist, record of the year, album of the year and song of the year. In addition, she also won best pop vocal album, for a total of five Grammys.

At only 18, the history-making artist is the youngest solo performer to win album of the year. Taylor Swift, won best album at the age of 20 for "Fearless."

The Grammys opened with an emotional tribute to basketball great Kobe Bryant, who died on Sunday.  Pop star Lizzo mournfully declared  "Tonight is for Kobe,"  opening the show with her powerful  ballad "Cuz I Love You."
